Explore deeper into the wild heart of Outback Queensland on our Thargomindah Two Day Tour—an extended small-group birdwatching adventure through ancient floodplains, mulga scrub, and wetlands teeming with life.

With two full days in the field, you'll have time to venture further, discover more habitats, and give those elusive species a proper chance to reveal themselves. Join your local guide Ted for a relaxed, flexible journey into some of Australia's most unique and untouched landscapes.

Whether you're a keen birder building your list or simply curious about nature, you'll spot fascinating species, enjoy bush picnics, and return with stories (and photos!) you'll never forget.

Please note: This tour does not include accommodation. Guests arrange their own overnight stay in Thargomindah between tour days.

Your Route: Over two days, we'll explore the full diversity of habitats within the vast Thargomindah Town Common and beyond—including the beautiful Bulloo River Flood Plain, rare mulga scrublands, rugged stoney ridges, blacksoil wetlands, and areas we simply can't reach in a single day.

The Adventure: A two-day tour (Day 1: 7:30am–4:00pm, Day 2: 7:30am–4:00pm) giving you deeper access to the area's incredible wildlife and more time for those patient, rewarding sightings.

Meet & Depart: We set off from the Thargomindah Tourist Information Centre each morning. Tours begin at 7:30am on both days.

Overnight: Accommodation is not included. Guests arrange their own overnight stay in Thargomindah between tour days. We're happy to recommend local options.

Booking Details: Please book by 5:00pm at least two days before your tour start date. Tours are private and limited to small groups for a more personal, interactive experience.
